How to build a TBC Anniversary raid composition
Choose 25 slots for a larger Outland raid or 10 for a smaller roster. Both factions can bring paladins and shamans. Start with your actual players, then use missing categories to decide which talent trees would add something new.
Each row is a player slot. Changing a class selects its first talent tree. Choose the intended tree for each player before reading coverage. Empty rows preserve party positions in the share link.
What covered, missing and duplicates mean
A category is covered when at least one selected class and tree can supply it. Missing means no selected player supplies it. Duplicates counts categories with more than one provider. Coverage is the number of covered categories divided by the number available to your faction.
A tree choice assumes the player takes that tree's listed raid talents. It does not inspect an exact talent build. Coverage means access, not guaranteed uptime, spell strength or simultaneous use. Extra providers can help with assignments and recovery, but the counter does not claim that their effects stack.
Sunder Armor and Expose Armor share the major armor reduction category. Two providers cover one category. Assign one effect rather than adding their armor reductions together.
A warlock can maintain one curse on a target at a time. Several covered curse categories from one warlock are alternatives, so assign separate warlocks when you need those curses together. Missing categories are a checklist of options, not a demand to fill every category.
Party buffs need party assignments
Each party has 5 slots. Party access lists the parties that contain a provider. A covered party aura does not mean the entire raid receives it. Move a player by clearing their current slot and selecting their class and tree in another party.
A shaman in party one gives that party access to group haste, while party two still needs its own provider. Elemental adds Totem of Wrath, Enhancement adds Unleashed Rage and Restoration adds Mana Tide Totem. One shaman cannot stand in all three talent trees at once. Alliance uses Heroism for the group haste assignment.
Spell examples at level 70
These examples show the ranks used for TBC Anniversary. Open a spell name in the coverage panel for its duration, cost and full description.
Bloodlust
Shaman, any tree. Party effect.
Increases melee, ranged, and spell casting speed by 30% for all party members. Lasts 40 seconds.
Totem of Wrath
Shaman, Elemental. Party effect.
Summons a Totem of Wrath with 5 health at the feet of the caster. The totem increases the chance to hit and critically strike with spells by 3% for all party members within 20 yards. Lasts 2 minutes.
Vampiric Touch
Priest, Shadow. Party effect.
Causes 650 Shadow damage over 15 seconds to your target and causes all party members to gain mana equal to 5% of any Shadow spell damage you deal.
Expose Weakness
Hunter, Survival. Target effect.
Your ranged criticals have a 100% chance to apply an Expose Weakness effect to the target. Expose Weakness increases the attack power of all attackers against that target by 25% of your Agility for 7 seconds.
Heroism
Shaman, any tree. Party effect.
Increases melee, ranged, and spell haste by 30% for all party and raid members. Lasts 40 seconds. Allies receiving this effect will become Exhausted and be unable to benefit from Heroism again for 10 minutes.
Which class should fill the next slot?
Compare the missing list before adding another damage dealer. A Shadow priest can add Vampiric Touch and Misery, while a Survival hunter adds Expose Weakness. A second provider of an existing category increases redundancy; a first provider opens a new option. Neither guarantees a better raid without considering the encounter and the players.
The list focuses on raid buffs, debuffs, auras and utility. It does not model damage output, tank or healer requirements, resistance gear, encounter mechanics, racial abilities or every cooldown. Copy the share link after editing to keep the raid size, faction, slot order and talent trees.
